Data migration and cleanup

Switching software? We move your data so it arrives clean.

New accounting system, new CRM, new field-service app, or finally getting off spreadsheets: the software is the easy part. The hard part is getting years of customers, jobs, invoices and history across without losing anything or carrying the mess with you. That's what we do.

    How a data move works

    1. Pull the data out

    2. Clean it and match it up

    3. Move it into the new system

    4. Check it against the old numbers

    What we help with

    • Moving off old software

QuickBooks Desktop, old databases and retired systems, moved to what you use next.

    • Cleaning up lists

Duplicate customers, messy product lists and missing fields, fixed before they move.

    • Connecting systems

Your tools passing data to each other instead of someone retyping it.

    • Reports from spreadsheets

The numbers you track by hand, pulled together automatically.

    • One-time imports

Getting a big batch of records in right the first time.

    • Ongoing syncs

Data that stays matched between systems after the move.

    Signs your data needs help

    • Someone retypes the same data into two places.
    • You're putting off a software switch because of the data.
    • Reports never quite match between systems.
    • You have more than one customer list.
    • Your old software is losing support.
    • Only one person knows how the spreadsheet works.

    QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online

You can stay on Desktop if it works for you. Desktop 2024 is current and has no sunset deadline; Desktop 2023 and older are already unsupported. New staff or locations can't get new Pro or Premier subscriptions, and subscriber prices keep rising. We help with the data whether you're staying, upgrading to 2024 or moving to QuickBooks Online or another system on your own schedule. We move and shape the data; your accountant handles the books.

    We work alongside your team

Your accountant, bookkeeper or the company setting up your new software handles the books and the setup. We handle the data: getting it out, shaping it, loading it and proving it matches. That split keeps everyone doing what they're best at.

    Recent work

Several companies owned by the same parent moved into one accounting system, with a shared setup and reporting standard. A reusable migration toolkit runs the same checks on every move.

    What it costs

Fixed price, quoted in writing once we've seen your data. Size, how clean the data is, and how much history comes over all change the effort, so we don't guess before we look.

    Questions people ask

    No. We work with them.

Usually less than people think. We'll walk through the trade-off with you.

It depends on size and cleanliness. You'll get a timeline with the proposal.

We plan for what comes over before anything moves, and check it against your old numbers when it lands.

Your old system stays in place until the new one checks out.
